Lille OSC is currently on summer break, and players not involved in the World Cup are enjoying a few weeks of rest before the restart on July 6. This is the case for Osame Sahraoui, who chose to return to his roots in Norway, where he was spotted at the Vålerenga training center, his former club. Arriving in Lille in the summer of 2024 from Heerenveen in the Netherlands, Osame Sahraoui still has a strong bond with Vålerenga, where he completed his training. Launched as a professional in 2019, the 25-year-old Moroccan international had left his native country in January 2023 to join the Netherlands, before continuing his progress under the colors of Lille OSC. During this 2025-2026 season, his second, the left winger was affected by a pubic injury but still played 25 games, scoring one goal and providing two assists. The Oslo club is also currently on break, but for a different reason. The Norwegian championship is played over a calendar year and traditionally observes a summer break at mid-season. After eleven games, Vålerenga occupies ninth place in the standings with 14 points, thirteen points behind leader Viking FK. Osame Sahraoui was able to reconnect with his training environment and meet familiar faces. Before rejoining his Lille OSC teammates on July 6, the Lille striker is thus fully enjoying his vacation, between rest and memories of his debut in Oslo. Lille OSC will resume competition on July 6, and Osame Sahraoui will be ready to play his role in the team. And it is important for him to recharge before the new season. But for now, he is enjoying his vacation in Norway, at his former club Vålerenga. So he will return to Lille refreshed and ready to go.
